Aftercare for your new tattoo
1. Remove the plastic from your fresh tattoo.
2. Wash your hands with liquid anti-bacterial hand soap and rinse. Soap up your hands a second time and with a thick lather gently use your hand to soap up your tattoo. Depending on the size and location of the tattoo, times may vary but about 15 seconds of gentle washing is all you should need.
3. Though-rally rinse off all soap.
4. Gently pat dry with a clean paper towel.
5. Once tattoo is dry and feeling slightly tight, recover all tattooed areas with a fresh clean piece of plastic.
6. Fold excess over an inch away from the art towards the center of the area and tape the edges down to ensure nothing escapes or enters this area covered by your plastic.
7. Repeat this process every 5-6 hours, leaving open in shower and the last thing to be cleaned before you get out.
8. Wear a fresh bandage for sleeping.
9. Depending on the level of secretions produced this process can be maintained for up to three days.
10. If your pores seem closed and secretions are less to where you feel more dry than any other feeling after washing, you may stop the plastic and begin moisturizing 2-3 times a day washing morning and night. Always apply non scented Vitamin e bearing lotion with freshly washed hands.
11. Fully healed is not technically achieved until two weeks post tattooing.
